Antique 15ct Gold Diamond Bar Twist Brooch Pin c1920 Art Deco

It is so nice to see that brooches are increasing in popularity as they are one of the most versatile pieces of jewellery you could have. A bar brooch like this could be worn on so many pieces of clothing providing an elegant statement or even as a unique hanger for your OBE ABOUT THIS BROOCH Constructed from solid 15ct yellow gold (625 parts per 1000) UK assay marked / x-ray tested. Dates to the Art Deco era c1920s The style is classic extravagance, with a lovely twist design and a central 4 claw set diamond. Gemstones: Natural rose cut ice white diamond, loupe clean. Fastens with a gold hinged pin and roll over clasp - all in good order. Condition is excellent, especially considering its age. Length is 42.7mm. Width is 7.5 mm. It sits 6.7 mm proud. You would expect to pay between £750 and £1,250 for a brooch like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain. CONDITION REPORT Many of my brooches are VERY old and have some signs of this. I ensure they are fully operational and can be worn from arrival but I do not like polishing them to "as new" because I feel this detracts from their history. I will consider doing so, for a small fee, if you ask nicely ;-) I guarantee all items to be as described and will accept a return on anything you are not happy with.
