Antique Pewter Child's Mugs With Cat On Handle and Carved Floral Filigree Motifs

2 Vintage 1930’s Pewter Child’s Mugs with elaborate artistic finishing. A top the handle is a perched, sitting cat, with head cocked in a quizzical position, looking downwards. Bottom of handle is a little bird, profile on one side, feathers and tail on the other side. Body of the mini mugs has floral bass relief on both sides of these 2 mugs. Mugs are being sold as a pair. Number “6” is imprinted on the bottom of these cups/mugs. Sold as a pair of 2. Dimensions: 3” tall, 2 1/4” diameter at bottom, 2 3/8” diameter at lip. These 1930’s cups have an Art Deco as well as a Folk Art look. The cat and bird on the handles make this a rare collectible. Wonderful display pieces of showy, even kitschy pre-World War 2 design. Weight of 4 1/2 ounces each, 9 ounces total weight of both mugs/cups. Excellent vintage condition for a 85 to 90 year old collectible set of two identical child sized mugs.
