C. Alan Johnson (1926-2013) was an artist who lived in Alaska and used the Inuit child population as his inspiration for his collection of these highly desirable and collectible figurines. This piece was made in 1962 during his career by forming these whimsical pieces from clay. Each is a one-of-a-kind hand-painted figurine. “Smook” measures approximately 5 3/4” high and 3”wide, by 2” deep. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
