Vintage 24K Gold Plated Art of Chokin Lidded Porcelain Trinket/Jewelry Box. Massive gold plate. Will look good on any Vanity Dresser. Features a Japanese Geisha in Red traditional costume on a waterfront scene. 4” in diameter. 2” tall. No chips, no cracks, just a minor gold plate loss on the back of the lid. Bottom is marked. Made in Japan. In very good vintage condition.

The images are created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold. The engravings were originally created to decorate the armaments of the Samurai warriors. This Art Form was handed down for 800 years. 24K Gold edged. Made in Japan.
