Vintage Asian Traditional Paper Cutting Peacocks Roosting Framed Wall Art 1970's. Approximate measurements are: 17 3/4" x 13 3/4". Artisian signed in Red Chinese Characters on front. The frame is black with yellow & brown frame mat around the edges. The blue paper cut art is of Several Peacocks Roosting in a tree. Research shows that the Vintage paper cut art was approximately Circa 1960's-1970's. These intricate paper cut outs are a BEAUTIFUL example of traditional Chinese Craftmanship & are often used as decorative pieces for celebrations (Weddings, Promotions, Housewarming, Chinese New Year) & good luck symbols. In Asian culture, the peacock is a symbol of grace, dignity & sophistication. Condition is preowned with no chips, cracks or missing pieces.
