WWI CBE Miniature Medal, 1st Type Britannia on Military ribbon Genuine Original The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire The guilloche grey pearl enamel has damage - see photos whilst the inner circle in red enamel with block lettering in gold "For God and the Empire" is in good condition The original silk purple ribbon with red strip has deteriorated due to age. Has been left as is. The designs of insignia of the order and medal were altered in 1937 when Britannia was replaced with the King & Queen heads Lovely patina to front and reverse with the gilt ‘worn’ rubbed on reverse.
