The clasp does sometimes pop open – I didn’t notice until after the return period that there was a default. It’s not always obvious but must be mentioned as part of the clasp IS missing which would usually enable the bag to be SECURELY closed. Saint Laurent boutiques do offer official bag repairs, so this could be fixed professionally if desired.
